O pochodzeniu języka

There are lots of mysteries concerning us as human beings, which scientists all over the world try to explain using lots of sophisticated words. But the existence of language itself seems to constantly puzzle many eggheads. Language has been analysed in many possible ways, numerous books have been written about its structure and semantics but they did not bring us any closer to discovering how language started. When and how the need for verbal communication sprouted? When and how the grunts and squeaks of primates evolved to become the most powerful tool of communication? These are still daunting questions for which there is no satisfactory answer. The power of language is beyond comprehension. Even now when I write these words and you read them a miracle is happening. We do not know anything about each other and we will probably never meet but language has become a bridge, which stretches from my brain to yours and connects us in a way. Over this bridge some thoughts and ideas born in my head, can ‘walk’ briskly and enter yours. What I write and you read are just graphic symbols but they can work miracles which no biologist, linguist, neurologist, psychologist or even philosopher can properly explain.
