Nie zawsze zdajemy sobie sprawę z tego, że jest to kwestia fundamentalna, bezpośrednio przekładająca się na funkcjonowanie firmy i jej pozycję na rynku. Z tego powodu regulacje i systemy kontrolne, czyli compliance, postrzegane są jako kolejne ograniczenia utrudniające prowadzenie biznesu i generowanie zysków. Tymczasem są one drogowskazem pozwalającym ominąć trudne sytuacje, które mogłyby podważyć zaufanie do przedsiębiorstwa.

As bribery and fraud cases still occupy the front pages of many newspapers and stories of prosecutions and fines continue to hit the headlines, the term compliance seems to have entered business language for good and, with time, it is very likely to get more and more prominence. Even if we have doubts about whether corruption is really as rampant as the media would have us believe, there are many sources which keep warning us that fraud is out there and no country or business should be caught off guard when the time comes to confront it.
TRANSPARENCY INTERNATIONAL
In 1993, a few individuals decided to take a stance against corruption and created Transparency International. Now, present in more than 100 countries, the movement works relentlessly to raise awareness and bring about change. Much still needs to be done to stop corruption, but much has already been achieved.
