Rozdział 5 - Personel
1. Job Funcions
1. Stanowiska

„Work” describes what a person does in order to earn money. If a person works permanently in one company, then he or she has a job. The word „work” is uncountable, i.e. we cannot say „a work, two works etc.” Instead we say a piece of work, a task, or a job (here meaning „a piece of work”). The word duty describes a piece of work that a person does regularly as part of his or her job, i.e. one of their responsibilities. If a duty becomes repetitive and boring it is called a chore. Sometimes employees are unclear about their responsibilities and duties. This is called role ambiguity (ambiguous means „unclear”).
The words assignment and project describe tasks that are not part of an employee’s regular duties. We say that a manager assigns or delegates a piece of work to an employee.
We usually say: to do a piece of work or a task. More formally, we can say: to perform or undertake a task.
The words staff, or more formally, personnel refer to the group of people who work for an organisation. In industry they are often known collectively as the workforce.
Physical work is often called ( US), which leads to the expression - how a company divides the work required to produce a product.
