Presentations Tale
Once upon a time there was a man who worked in an international organization. His name was Kenneth. He was happy to get up every morning, put on his smart suit, get into his nice car and drive to the office. He loved his job not only because it earned his bread and butter (and the above mentioned car) but also because it let him spread his wings. He started in a logistics team and for a few months was toiling for long hours and not much money tackling orders. Then he was offered a position in a sales team along with a substantial pay rise. As he was very ambitious and hard-working, he quickly went up the career ladder. Finally, only yesterday he heard it on the grapevine that he was considered as a potential candidate for the position of Sales Director. His happiness did not last long though, because today morning, quite out of the blue, he saw some black clouds looming on the horizon. He could not help thinking that what started as a predictable day was going to mark the beginning of his fall. It all started when his boss told him that the following day a potential customer was coming for a meeting and Kenneth had to prepare a presentation to impress the prospect. For the boss it all seemed to be a piece of cake and he did not notice that his employee suddenly got pale, started sweating and had to sit down because his head was spinning. Then, in a very weak and unconvincing voice Kenneth said that he would do his best to knock the prospect off his feet with the presentation. In the office nobody knew that Kenneth had a deep hidden secret - he was terrified of giving presentations. He had done it once or twice before but it had always been a torture for him and as soon as he left the conference room he preferred to forget about it. Now, he was supposed to do it again but this time it hanged on his performance whether his company would gain a new customer and that in return would definitely affect his promotion prospects.
