A purposeful job or a pretty penny? What really motivates us most and how to attain it
What really motivates us? A question as old as civilisation itself. Are we in fact driven primarily by money, as some say? And if purpose plays a role, how do we find it? Empirical evidence indicates that there is no better way to motivate yourself than finding meaning and purpose in what you do. Extrinsic motivators, rewards, incentives, appreciation from your manager and colleagues - they all are of importance, but cannot be con sidered equal to a feeling of purpose. Having said that, some of our needs will be more urgent than others.
